UK Disposable Vape Sales Fall, Elf Bar and Lost Mary Pre-Position Reusable Vape Products To Cope With The Ban

Arif Ahmed, owner of Ahmed News in Coventry, highlighted the transition, stating, “Now, we sell about 50% disposable vapes because refills are very affordable.” This sentiment is echoed by Evapo, a prominent vape shop, which reports that only 15% of its customers continue to use disposable vapes.

In response to the upcoming ban, leading disposable vape brands, such as Elf Bar and Lost Mary, have proactively developed reusable alternatives. Elf Bar has introduced Elf Bar Elfx, an open pod system, while Lost Mary has launched the Lost Mary BM6000 Prefilled Kit, a pod device compatible with prefilled pods featuring flavors from its disposable range.

The ban on disposable vapes is set to take effect on April 1, 2025. In addition, there are plans to regulate the flavors, packaging, advertising, and display of all remaining vape products.
